Upgrade of the "BLM" socket connector series

The socket connector series, "BLM", with a 1.27 mm pitch, has been upgraded into a 1-row horizontal design. The reason for upgrading the product range for 1.27 mm pitch is for Fischer Elektronik to adequately meet the growing demand in the market. As in the case of the entire BLM series, BLM SMD 3 is suitable for the pin header SLV (0.4 mm square) or SLM (0.3 mm square). It is available in pole numbers 2–20. The fork contacts of the BLM 3 SMD ... are refined with gold or tin (pure tin) on the surface and are accordingly available as socket connectors as well. The contact material of the socket connector is made of a CuSn alloy. Safe operation is guaranteed within a temperature range of -40°C to +163°C. As with the previous design, the insulating body is made of a high temperature-resistant plastic (flammability class: UL94 V-0), thus making the socket connector suitable for the lead-free, reflow soldering method. The materials used comply with EU Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS) and the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (REACH). Current product data sheets and samples are available.
