Due to the ever smaller devices in the electronic assemblies the connectors built into them must also be adapted and made more compact in terms of device size. The 1.27 mm grid is becoming increasingly important which is why company Fischer Elektronik has added a shorter contact length to its product range in the area of ​​male headers. Various article variants are available for this newly set contact length of 7.8 mm. These are the types SLV W 1 036 ..., SLV W 2 036 ... and SLV W 4 036 ..., which are offered in a straight design. The single row male header is available in contact numbers 1-36 and the double row male header in contact numbers 4-72.

In order to ensure high current conductivity with these small pin cross sections of □ 0.4 mm a copper-zinc alloy (CuZn) is used as the contact material. The pin contacts are offered in gold-plated and tinned surface coating.

The high temperature resistant plastic insulating body which has a flammability classification of UL 94 V-0 is dimensionally stable for a short time up to 260 °C in the lead-free reflow soldering process and is characterized by good mechanical properties. Especially with long, thin-walled devices, the good flow properties of this material are of great advantage in order to optimally fill the hollow shape (cavity) to be filled in the tool.

The materials being used comply with EU Directive 2015/863 / EU (RoHS) and the requirement of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 (REACH).
