Raspberry Pi cases
The single-board mini-computer Raspberry Pi has been developed as a low-cost PC with various application options for pupils, students and tinkerers. Today, it is not only being used privately or for educational purposes, but also finds application in many areas of industrial automation. What this requires, irrespective of the application cases, is that the sensitive electronic components of these PC boards be protected from negative environmental factors such as dirt, mechanical impacts and electromagnetic interference. To this end, Fischer Elektronik can henceforth offer its customers newly developed cases for the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B that are characterized by a modern design with practical and functional properties. The new RSP cases consist of two specially shaped aluminium parts (1.5 mm thick) that are joined with the help of snap-in projections and a fastening screw. Bushings with an M 2.5 thread for direct mounting of the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B board are firmly integrated in the lower shell. Openings at the sides of the case components permit easy connection of the PC boards to a power supply as well as all peripherals and expansion boards. The ventilation openings integrated in the cover ensure a better heat exchange and hence an optimal operating temperature for the installed fanless electronics. The new RSP cases are available in three different finishes (natural anodized, black anodized or their combination). Variants for wall- or ceiling-mounting or attachment to a VESA MIS-D 75 x 75 monitor holder using screw-on fastening tabs are also available. If required, Fischer Elektronik can furthermore provide heat sinks in all sizes and designs from its extensive range. Customized designs, mechanical finishes, surface treatments and letterings can be realized to order.
