Customised single contacts

Fischer Elektronik does not only develop high-quality male and female headers, but also offers customised single contacts in straight and angled design which are used in various applications.

The turned precision single contacts are made of a brass alloy and refined in our barrel plating afterwards. The male contact as well as the sleeves of the socket contact will be offered in a lead-free tinning with a coating thickness of 4-6 µm or in gold-plated design with a coating thickness of at least 0,2 µm. Other coating thicknesses are possible upon request.

Inside the precision socket contacts there is a stamped contact element – the clip – which is made of a CuBe alloy. To ensure high connecting cycles and low contact resistances this one is always covered with a layer of gold. The clip consists of four or six flexible contact fingers and achieves a very good contacting and contact security.

To develop an optimal solution for the special application a close cooperation with the customer is a prerequisite. The requested parameters being important for the application are determined then. In addition we are developing also insulators for the specific application in connection with the contacts.
