Pattering method "VDA / PPAP / FE Standard"

For the procedures according to VDA and PPAP, the "pattering" should be carried out in full following the standard recommendation (for example, there are 22 issues in VDA). The "presentation layer" is only defined, what the supplier should prove to his customer. The standard recommendations mentioned are comprehensible for the volume of production that is common in the automotive industry.

As this effort involves high costs, especially for small volumes, we see the table provided for download both as a level of input and as an expense. Thus, we do not work in accordance with the "recommendation of the automotive industry," but in the interests of our broad range of customers from the electronics industry.

We calculate the respective efforts in order to keep the pattering costs as low as possible. Therefore, we also offer individual pattern sizes. To offer our customers a cost-effective alternative, we have defined the Fischer Elektronik Standard ("FE Standard"). This can be extended as needed. If no specific customer specifications are available, initial pattering is carried out according to this standard.

In your request you are welcome to combine, e.g. "FE Standard with additional residual dirt particle test, according to your factory standard". For a better overview, it is recommended to include the additional tests and desired changes in the table provided for download, and attach them to your request / order (see below).

The more accurate the customer specifications are, the more precisely they are taken into account in our offer and are less likely to cause any scheduling deviations.

PS: We use our own forms (similar to VDA). If you would like another form, please send it with your order or separately to Messraumfischerelektronik.de .
If acceptance certificates (e.g. according with EN 10204 3.1) are required, we ask for prompt ordering, as it may take several weeks for our suppliers to issue these certificates. For further questions please contact your contact person at Fischer Elektronik.
